NOUNS

Common nouns can be divided into two groups: countable and uncountable. 

COUNTABLE                                                                                                    
These can be preceded by articles (a/the) They have plural forms.         
the tree       the trees
the child     the children
the knife     the knives                                                                                                                 

UNCOUNTABLE
These cannot be counted, and so have no plural form.
sugar        beauty        goodness        salt

Proper nouns are the names given to places, people, festivals brand names and titles.  They should always begin with a capital letter.
